“BBC released a documentary revealing what was going on behind the scenes with the “Burning Sun” matter in 2019. It sent shivers down my spine as I watched it, because it made me remember my visit to the Burning Sun in 2018.
I knew a girl from Hong Kong, and her ex-boyfriend was a business contact of Seungri’s there. When they came to Korea, they took us to that nightclub. Seungri was the DJ that night (the one wearing red).
The documentary didn’t show just how many people there were at the nightclub. Aside from creating an atmosphere by throwing tissues around, they wore sunglasses and sucked on pacifiers. My friend told me this was because after taking drugs, they’d roll their eyes and bite their tongue, and that’s why they were wearing sunglasses and sucking on pacifiers. I asked why the police didn’t arrest them, and my friend said this type of a nightclub pays a lot of ‘tax,’ so the police turned a blind eye to it.
The most important part is during that time, we went to two different tables and had a glass of champagne each, and I mysteriously blacked out. When I regained consciousness, I discovered that my wallet was gone.”

Ling Cheng then shared that after her experiences, she and her boyfriend left and that while she was conscious after leaving, her experiences with getting drunk after so little alcohol made her think she might have been drugged. She also added that by sharing, she hoped that women would be more wary about going to clubs in Korea.

“My friend and her ex-boyfriend immediately left the scene with me, and we went to report my missing Hong Kong credit card and other things. Since I got drunk after drinking very little, I remember wondering if I was drugged. Fortunately, I only lost my physical possessions. I was fully conscious the moment I left the nightclub.
I hope my personal experience will serve as another reminder for everyone to be cautious. A lot of friends from Hong Kong ask me for nightclub recommendations in Korea, but honestly, the nightclubs in Gangnam are still very dangerous!! If you’re a group of girls, I absolutely don’t recommend going to clubs. Recently, there were instances where various types of snacks were laced. Last time, my friends from Hong Kong came and was given “snacks” on the subway. Obviously, they kept rejecting it and quickly walked away, but they were shocked when I told them about snacks being laced with drugs.”

At the end of the thread, the influencer shared some other points related to the case, including whether she should do more content to make people aware of the dangers.

“P.S. I sent an audio message to Seungri in that Hong Kong person’s business chat group to tell him about my wallet. Obviously, it wasn’t found, but I was a bit angry. What kind of a place was this? I had never lost any of my possessions in the years I’ve been in Korea. But now that I think about it, merely losing my wallet was a blessing in disguise…
P.P.S. It turns out that the guy who got beaten up [at the Burning Sun] was a musician sunbae that my fiancé knew through a recording studio. He saw a girl getting dragged to the “secret room” and got beaten up because he wanted to stop it. This triggered the exposure of a series of dark secrets afterwards. Should I make YouTube videos about this kind of personal experience to warn more people?”

Along with her own personal story, Ling Cheng shared photos from her time there. There were images of the club itself, showcasing just how big the crowds were at the venue and what was happening in the club.
She also shared photos of her wristband to confirm that she actually attended.
The stories from the scandal continue to shock netizens, raising anger that many of those involved are trying to get back to normal life and even getting back in the public eye.
