A fanboy saw a once-in-a-lifetime chance to ask his idol to marry him and took it!
12-member Hong Kong boy group MIRROR is in the midst of holding their solo fanmeetings, scheduled for June 7 – 10. Fanclub members had the option to purchase tickets to attend in person or watch the shows for free online.
For all of the fanmeetings, each fan gets to interact with the idol one-on-one as the idol hands them a charm for good luck. On June 8, member Jer did just that for his show.
And he was in for a surprise when a fanboy got down on his knees, ring in hand, and asked, “Will you marry me?” Fans could be heard screaming excitedly, with Jer saying, “Whaaaaaaaaaa!”
However, staff gestured for the fanboy to stop, and he got up immediately.
In the end, Jer looked the fanboy in the eye and thanked him. He also said, “I’ll answer you next time, haha.”
And the fanboy responded, “Okay! I need to see you next time!”
