Belift Lab Caught Photoshopping “Evidence” To Support Claims That ILLIT Did Not Plagiarize NewJeans
In a video released June 10, 2024, Belift Lab made attempts to denounce the allegations of plagiarism made against ILLIT. Famously, it was claimed that ILLIT had copied NewJeans‘ hanbok photoshoot. Although many K-Pop groups have done hanbok shoots before, it was claimed that NewJeans’ was unique due to its color scheme, specific lighting and editing, and more.
Korean Netizens Accuse ILLIT Of Plagarizing NewJeans’ Unique Hanbok Photoshoot
In their video, Belift Lab’s team narrated, “Min Hee Jin claimed that the hanbok colors and the pastel-toned palette was similar. Is it because there is nothing else left to claim that they are saying we copied their color scheme?”
- Because they dragged other examples over, it just makes the plagiarism even clearer.
- Do they take the public for fools… Can you think as you make things, you loser?
- Pathetic…
- How pathetic.
- Because this is their level, that’s why they can’t do more than stealing.
- Why are you putting in photos of idols who are not related?
- This is basically admitting to plagiarism.
Min Hee Jin has never claimed that the hanbok concept is exclusively hers or NewJeans. Her previous statements make reference to the specific pastel scheme and color-editing style that has never been used in idol hanbok shoots before.
