A video quickly deleted by the original poster after receiving massive backlash has angered netizens with the way the fan appears to “lecture” her idol in person.

In the video, which has been reposted multiple times despite the quick deletion, the fan is talking to Alton, a member of Hong Kong’s boy group MIRROR, at his solo fanmeeting.

The fan, using what netizens believe to be a “lecturing” and “holier-than-thou” tone, tells Alton,
I want to tell you that you have to cherish your fans. Because not everyone has the privilege of having a professional camera to follow you for the whole world tour, you have to cherish!

The smile on Alton’s face quickly disappeared as the words were said, although he kept listening intently.
Netizens were not pleased by the fan’s words and actions, as they believe the fan was trying to demand Alton to cherish her and/or her friend for taking photos of him while on tour.
- “My friend started stanning Alton after the UK show because she saw that the members worked hard and Alton was great at creating a good atmosphere. Honestly, this lady wasted her ticket attending the fanmeeting to lecture him. She didn’t have the right to use a ‘holier-than-thou’ tone of voice to talk.”
