ILLIT Wonhee’s Recent Airport Appearance Fuels Ridiculous Speculation Involving NewJeans
On June 14, 2024 (KST), BELIFT LAB posted an update regarding ILLIT Wonhee’s ankle.
The update mentioned that she was hurt during a filming schedule earlier the same week. It was reported that her doctor had advised her to wear a brace and avoid excessive movements.
That said, when Wonhee showed up to depart to Japan from the Gimpo International Airport in an ankle brace and a crutch, she received some compassion from K-Pop fans…

Some expressed that the injury “reminded [them] of NewJeans’ Hyein’s foot injury,” with others took it even farther by accusing Wonhee and BELIFT LAB of “copying” the ADOR girl group.

I usually never feel bad for idols, especially when I’m not exactly their fan. But I have the biggest sympathy for ILLIT these days. Some people are sharing pictures of Wonhee in a crutch and mocking her in the comments on Instagram. For f*ck’s sake, people… She’s just a teenage girl. How is this OK?
