Its mother company, Jollibee Foods Corporation, made headlines on July 2 when it was announced that they had acquired South Korean company Compose Coffee.

It is the chain that K-Pop fans know about thanks to BTS‘s V. He starred in their “eVeryone is a Composer” advertisments at the start of the year.

Jollibee Foods Corporation acquired 70% of the Korean company for a whopping $340 million USD.

Jollibee itself is now creating a buzz on online Korean communities following the news of this deal. One netizen posted a photo of how the meals from the Filipino fast food chain looks like, prompting others to share their thoughts.

…many others couldn’t stop thinking about it after trying it in the past.

  • It tastes really good, kinda like school meals, but delicious. Damn, I really miss it.
  • If they sell spaghetti [locally], that would be great.
  • I miss Jollibee…. It was a great cheap and simple meal, especially with their gravy sauce.
  • That gravy sauce was unique.
