YouTuber Ridiculed For Unconvincing Apology To Tzuyang After Being Accused Of Blackmailing Her
Mukbang YouTuber Tzuyang was recently embroiled in controversy. Korean media reported that she was under blackmail by a union of YouTubers who profit over publishing video content about other celebrities, including unfounded rumors. According to controversial YouTuber Garosae Yeonguseo (가로세연구소)The union consists of YouTubers Hwang Chul Soo, Gujeyeok, Crocodile, Gango, Caracula, Uhm Tae Woong, and more. It was claimed that the union has been receiving millions of won from Tzuyang by threatening her with her past. According to a voice recording of a phone call, it was alleged that Gujeyeok had profited enough off such cases to buy a luxury car.
In a statement on YouTube, Gujeyeok apologized to Tzuyang, but has since denied receiving unethical money.
I’m sorry for not being able to protect Tzuyang’s right for the incident to be forgotten. I am clearly stating that I swear to the heavens that I’ve not done anything to be ashamed of, and will do my best to stay by Tzuyang’s side, to protect her rights.
