On June 17, a post titled “I Don’t Think KISS OF LIFE Is Very Talented” went viral. The post has since been viewed over 80K times.

In the post, the author scrutinized KISS OF LIFE’s live skills during the group’s recent encore performance.

They had 2 encore performances and they were both pretty bad. Fans defended the group by saying their condition wasn’t great and that they were nervous after their first win. Then today fans defended them again saying that their schedules are too busy. I’m pretty sure that all of the groups who win music shows are pretty busy. Are they saying KISS OF LIFE is especially busy? I’m not convinced. This group benefitted the most from the recent live skills controversy, but I think they are the worst of the 3 groups that did benefit.

Netizens reacted to the post, with some agreeing with the post while others defended the group.

  • “They are talented but they aren’t on the level of BABYMONSTER and NMIXX. I think they’d also get hate if they call themselves BLACKPINK’s heirs.”
  • “I don’t think people would care if they hadn’t marketed themselves as being skilled. But then again, I’m not sure they would have gotten this big had they not done that.”
  • “It’s not they aren’t skilled, but they aren’t skilled enough to market themselves as a skillful group… I don’t think there are any groups that are better than NMIXX… I thought they were on NMIXX’s level because everyone kept raving about them, and I was shocked when I listened to them.”
  • “Every music show winner is busy.”
  • “It’s funny how they went viral after LE SSERAFIM’s Coachella disaster, only to find out that they aren’t that skilled either, lol.”
  • “Did KISS OF LIFE have this many haters? TF?”
