Media outlets have also revealed that she is ”the only Korean female soloist to achieve this in 2024.”
Korean netizens felt that the backlash from her dating news caused the downfall of her career.
- “I don’t know much about her fandom, but just by looking at social media, I can see that the response from international fans isn’t good. It’s the first time I’ve seen a response like that.”
- “Her international fandom has decreased since dating Yong Junhyung. She had somewhat of a fanbase, but foreigners are more sensitive to these problems.”
- “Yeah, and they wouldn’t have even scheduled a tour if she didn’t have any fans, but they canceled it because the fans she did have are now gone.”
- “Who would go anyway.”
- “The song she released with Groovy Room was good… unfortunately, her image became like this.”
- “The response from overseas is worse…plus the Burning Sun documentary.”
- “Besides Yong Junhyung…you can’t do anything about people leaving the fandom…If you compare it from 2017, she released good songs back then.”
- “I think international fans are more sensitive to these kinds of issues so I dont know where she got the confidence to announce her marriage with him. I think it’s going to be hard for her to promote overseas now.”
- “Honestly, it’s all downhill from here.”
- “She put this on herself…It’s really a waste of her career.”
- “You can somehow succeed if you have a good song, but she hasn’t released anything good over the past few years.”
- “It was third-generation in 2017, and now it’s fifth-generation. Was she really trying to hold a tour with 2017 songs? She needs to take responsibility for her choices; it’s her choice who she decides to marry.”
- “Overseas fans are more sensitive on these types of issues.”
