A 29-Year-Old Idol Is About To Debut Again...For The 6th Time

In K-Pop, making multiple debuts is not completely out of the ordinary. Some idols, like ZEROBASEONE‘s Kim Jiwoong, have debuted more than once due to their groups disbanding. In contrast, others, like SHINee‘s Taemin, have been added to project groups like SuperM and debuted again.

One idol is currently prepping for her sixth debut, years after her first entering the entertainment industry.

In 2016, the first season of Produce 101 aired, introducing viewers to dozens of female trainees and debuted idols hoping for a chance at making the final line-up. These trainees included Kim So Hee, a then 20-year-old under Music Works Entertainment.

So Hee made it to the final episode but ultimately placed fifteenth overall. After this, she made her first debut as a member of the project group C.I.V.A, which was originally created as part of the mockumentary The God Of Music 2.

Also, in 2016, So Hee debuted as a member of I.B.I, a spin-off group for Produce 101 contestants who didn’t make the top 11. Both of these groups disbanded after their initial releases.

In 2017, she was part of another project group called Girls Next Door, which was formed through another TV program and then debuted. This group included other idols like Red Velvet‘s Seulgi and MAMAMOO‘s Moonbyul.

So Hee made her official solo debut in November 2017, releasing a mini album titled The Fillette.

After leaving her agency in 2019, the idol signed with n.CH Entertainment and debuted as a member of NATURE. This was her longest time in any group so far, with NATURE remaining together until their disbandment in April 2024.

Before NATURE’s disbandment, So Hee competed in TROT GIRLS JAPAN, a prequel to Korea VS Japan Trot, making the show’s final line-up. However, due to a difference in the number of finalists between the two prequel programs she did not appear in Korea VS Japan Trot.

However, her trot experience has led to her next debut as a member of a Trot duo.

So Hee alongside Kanou Miyu, another TROT GIRLS JAPAN competitor, were reported to debut as Atlantis Kitsune under n.CH in August 2024.
