A K-Pop Group Fandom Hit With Backlash After Allegedly Mocking Stray Kids

On July 21, the 2024 SBS Gayo Daejeon: Summer was held at the Inspire Arena in Incheon. Popular K-pop idol groups gathered to cool down the summer with legendary performances.

The almost four hour event was jam packed with amazing performances ranging from unexpected collaborations and special stages.

Part of the lineup included boy group Stray Kids, who appeared at the show in chic black outfits.

They entered the blue carpet in style, serving visuals for days!

They also killed their performance as they did a mashup of songs, including their newest song, “CHK CHK BOOM.”

However, some fans pointed out that another fandom directly responded to Seungmin‘s question asking if everyone enjoyed their performance.

While Seungmin was talking, he asked, ‘Did you all enjoy Stray Kids’ performance?’ and a fan from another group yelled, ‘No.’ I could even hear it from this video, imagine how clearly Seungmin heard it on stage. I saw his face drop after hearing it. To those fans, please stop embarrassing yourselves.

Another fan also revealed that a group of people behind them also made sarcastic remarks about Stray Kids.

Another thing that annoyed me was that the people sitting behind me were people that got in with organizer tickets, and after Stray Kids said they would leave after talking, the people behind me said in a mocking sarcastic tone, ‘Yes, please go~ see you~~~.’ So annoying.

Korean fans couldn’t understand why they were being so rude and disrespectful.
