LE SSERAFIM Fans Ridiculed For “Acting Up” Regarding NewJeans Fans’ Protests Against HYBE

Recently, it was reported that NewJeans fans planned to send funeral wreaths to the HYBE building as a protest. This demonstration was scheduled to take place from July 30 to August 1, 2024. Concerns arose when a netizen highlighted that the protest coincided with LE SSERAFIM Chaewon‘s birthday on August 1, 2024. A particular netizen’s post suggested that the timing of the protest was intended to overshadow Chaewon’s special day. However, NewJeans fans clarified that the wreaths were meant to criticize Bang Si Hyuk and HYBE, not to target Chaewon personally. The netizen was also exposed as a hater of NewJeans.

It was also reported in Korean media that LE SSERAFIM fans had approached the fans who organized the protest to ask them to shift their dates. Ultimately, their request was not heeded. The fans of LE SSERAFIM had planned to park a bus wrapped with congratulatory messages for Chaewon outside the building. They also planned birthday cafes to be hosted around the HYBE area. Although not directly related to Chaewon, the funeral wreaths being present at the same time would not look pleasant or befitting with the celebratory atmosphere.

  • No, but in the first place, the protest was against the company as the company was basically trying to kill off the group, and that’s why they are sending the wreaths. So what right does the other fandom have to stop their protest just because it is their bias’ birthday? Are they f*cking them over because they need to celebrate a birthday?
