Yet, some ARMYs are boycotting.
Many comments on official posts, including Trafalgar, a company that manages venues/theaters, JUNG KOOK: I AM STILL, also demand that documentary screenings in Israel be canceled.
The call for the cancelation of the film’s screenings in Israel is due to the current war on Palestine. Since October 2023, the death toll in the Gaza Strip has reportedly surpassed 40,223 people, including nearly 16,500 children, according to Al Jazeera, while over 92,981 have been injured due to Israeli attacks. More than 10,000 are missing, and Palestinians in Gaza are struggling to survive as they are starving, displaced, and lost homes, family, and friends.
Additionally, Israel is considered an “apartheid state” due to its illegal occupation and administration of the Palestinian territories. So, some netizens consider it unethical for HYBE to release JUNG KOOK: I AM STILL in Israel, especially during the ongoing war against Palestine.
Israel’s policies and actions in its ongoing occupation and administration of the Palestinian territories have drawn accusations that it is committing the crime of apartheid. Leading Palestinian, Israeli and international human rights groups have said that the totality and severity of the human rights violations against the Palestinians residing in the occupied territories, and by some in Israel proper, amount to the crime against humanity of apartheid. Israel and some of its Western allies have rejected the accusation, with the former often labeling the charge antisemitic.

Many are also emailing the companies, hoping to make a difference. Previously, fans attempted to cancel screenings of SEVENTEEN‘s and Suga‘s documentaries.
HYBE, we insist and demand that you cancel the screening in israel. showing the movie in israel directly contradicts the BDS movement & contributes to art washing. use your impact and stand against ethnic cleansing & genocide. #하이브는시오니스트를퇴출하라 #HybeDivestFromZionism
