Current Whereabouts Of Popular Former YG Entertainment Artists Spark Mixed Feelings
After its founding in 2018, YG Entertainment‘s YGX Entertainment was converted into a full-fledged dance group and academy in 2020. YGX was known for the many talented dancers under the label, including the Kwon Twins Deuki and Dony (Kwon Young Deuk and Kwon Yong Don).
In April 2024, it was announced that YGX would be closing its doors permanently without an announcement for its restructuring or any similar plans.
The Kwon Twins, who appeared on Street Man Fighter, have worked with numerous artists under YG Entertainment.
However, during their appearance on BIGBANG Daesung’s Zip Daesung in July 2024, it was revealed that they had left YG Entertainment.
Their recent whereabouts were brought up online, surprising with their activities.
In late July, NCT’s Jaehyun released his first solo album, featuring the title track “Smoke” and an accompanying music video.
One netizen shared a portion of the video featuring Jaehyun with dancers, identifying two of them as the Kwon Twins.

During their appearance on Daesung’s program, the twins mentioned being contacted by many different artists and agencies for work. This has seemingly become their new reality, with the pair also having worked with Taemin on his recent release.

They should get that bread though. YG won't be needing dancers as much with how many members there are in their active groups. It's also great for artistic growth cause SM's good at artistic diversity and creativity that YG sadly lacks. https://t.co/vNiHCp5pAq

While the mixed feelings are understandable especially since they did so much under YG, it seems the pair have entered a new era of activities.
