Veteran Singer Kim Yoonah Shares Heartbreaking Health Update From Hospital Bed
Kim Yoonah, the lead singer of the popular band Jaurim, recently took to her personal Instagram to update fans about her health.
On September 3, KST, the veteran singer posted a picture on Instagram of her on a hospital bed, receiving an IV drip.
In the caption, she wrote about having very low energy due to her serious health condition.
Lately, I’ve been dreaming a lot when I’m sick, ane given that my vitality is low, it makes sense. I’ll need to fill up my energy reserves with some ‘Energetic Mushroom’ and ‘Energetic Bass’ (dishes from the game The Legend of Zelda).

Back in July, the singer had revealed that she had suffered from cranial nerve paralysis in 2011 due to a weakened immunity system while working on Jaurim’s eighth album. It was triggered by her congenital immune deficiency and she has to receve monthly treatments to keep the symptoms in check. Kim had also mentioned that during her cranial nerve paralysis, her sense of smell, hearing, taste, and touch were affected severely, and even the muscles on her face and upper body were impacted.
The singer is still dealing with residual symptoms from the paralysis since certain physiological functions are still not fully restored. Notably, Kim had confessed that she still experiences vocal issues, but tried to suppress them in order to carry on with her singing activities.
Kim Yoonah’s health condition has been receiving increased public interest due to her increased media appaearances in recent months. Her most recent appearance was on September 2, on SBS‘s Same Bed, Different Dreams season 2 with her husband Kim Hyung Gyu.
Kim debuted in 1997 as the lead singer of Jaurim and has been active as a singer in the industry for 28 years straight. She recently created a buzz among K-Drama fans after calling out the production of Twenty Five, Twenty One, for using her song without proper permissions. You can read more about it here.
