When the interview dropped, clips circulated on social media, going viral with DAY6 fans. Hearing eaJ open up so candidly triggered many emotions.
🧑🚀 I would try to do my best try to do my best to promote the project that I was in at the time, and like an example of this was I had a YouTube channel. And it's crazy the hurdles I had to jump to make this YouTube channel; this was back in like 2016 when vlogging was taking- pic.twitter.com/rEEYWYcfc7

This man carries so much guilt over things that (in my opinion) were blown wayyy out of proportion and it honestly breaks my heart. So glad to see him finally start to come out the other side though 🫶 https://t.co/eaVVGhNSma

Fans are proud of eaJ for speaking his truth. They just wish he didn’t feel so guilty, especially considering how hard he worked as a member of DAY6.
MyDays can’t ignore eaJ’s contribution to DAY6 during his time as a member. He has always loved the group and contributed so much, constantly promoting it through his personal social media, his songwriting, etc.
I mean this in the most respectful way possible bc all 5 of them are amazing performers together and on their own but jae’s presence is truly so missed, the way he used to talk to the crowd and walk around during freely was so amazing i’ve never had a concert experience like it https://t.co/0C65KYDCm1

Bro i dont even listen to his solo stuff but the whole erasure thing is so fucked up considering just how much he contributed to the band musically and promotion wise https://t.co/Hev1HUZtxk

What I dislike the most, is the fact that people are trying to re-write history. When Day6 wouldn't have the success they have today if it weren't for Jae constant exposure and hard work in their most nugu era (2016-2018) https://t.co/BgJyjNpamb

So, it’s been hard for fans and eaJ to see him erased from the group’s history. Many feel it’s so undeserved.
the amount of fans who used to praise jae for constantly promoting day6 when their label did jackshit for them.. like how many of y’all wouldn’t be here without his love for the band. the same love that persists today despite everything that happened https://t.co/VZFmsF94df

I told you fuckers my simple OPINION the other day & got dragged for it. Now Jae has even said himself he feels he is being erased from the band's history. Screw y'all horrible horrible people pic.twitter.com/jYuZ1ikjlL

both sides were affected by it in some way and the only difference is only one side can talk about it freely

Some fans confessed that eaJ’s past actions did hurt them. Yet, we’re all human. No one is perfect and exempt from making mistakes.
I just wanna say that we, as humans, should realize and accept that we all make mistakes. And yes, it’s brave to own up to them. The next step is moving on, and we deserve that. We deserve to be better, to change, to be happy, and to live the good life we’ve always wanted.

I came across a tweet saying Jae is mentioning Day6 now because it’s their peak success. Honestly, it was so disrespectful to both J and the boys. First of all, D6 wouldn’t be where they are now if J hadn’t been part of them.
— rai (@eyesamericano) September 13, 2024
Jae deserves to tell his side of the story. He was part of the band and directly involved in everything, while none of you really know what was going on beyond what you saw online and what you believe. As much as you might want to, you cannot erase him and rewrite history.
— rai (@eyesamericano) September 13, 2024
And to Jae, as Zach said on the show, although it may still be hard, you shouldn’t be hard on yourself. Thank you for all your hard work, for being brave, and for keeping going. I hope along the way you’ll meet a lot of good people who will bring good to your life and your career
— rai (@eyesamericano) September 13, 2024
If anything, all of this just shows how human you are, and there’s nothing wrong with that. You and your music have been a blessing to most of us. While we can’t rewrite history, you still have the opportunity to write your own next chapter. So go write a great one! xx

Fans are hoping that eaJ’s interview will open hearts and minds. EaJ still holds hurt and regrets.
I don’t care if you’re a myday or a jar or wtv atp i’m begging yall to listen to this with an open heart and an open mind. Throw away whatever bias, animosity or prejudice you have for 50 mins and just LISTEN and hear him out for once. https://t.co/zXbi51w9pF

This is why I’ll always be obnoxious about how unfairly people talk about Jae. I’ve gotten a way more positive response than I thought I would. I’d love to be that help to ease some doubts in your head.pic.twitter.com/yn503uV0OA

they could never gaslight me into believing that jae left day6 on bad terms. gurl i was there when it happened. and like they're all still on talking terms so it's just so weird to see certain mydays erasing him from history https://t.co/HjKxvdBRDw
