“Hello, this is PIXY Lola.

It’s been a while since I last greeted you and shared news. First of all, I want to express my deep gratitude to the fans who have believed in me and continued to support me warmly. I also want to apologize to the fans who have been waiting for me for the unfortunate news I’m about to share. I understand that many of you have been curious due to my long silence, and I am deeply sorry if the news I’m about to share leaves you feeling disappointed. My heart is heavy. As of September 11, 2024, my contract with Allart has ended. I’ve learned and grown so much during my time debuting and performing as PIXY’s Lola. I am grateful for the unforgettable memories made through PIXY and WINXY and for the experiences I would never have encountered otherwise. I will cherish all the precious moments shared with the members, including the times we cried and laughed together. Although my activities as PIXY Lola have come to an end, I will do my best to repay the love and support from everyone as Choi Yujeong. I will work hard to show you a better side of myself soon. To all WINXY, you mean everything to me, and I mean that sincerely. I love you all so much and thank you from the bottom of my heart! Thank you for reading my message until the end!”

While a member leaving a group is not a sure sign of disbandment, in this case, many fear that is what the group is heading to.

PIXY originally debuted as a six-membered group in February 2021 with the digital single “Wings.” By August 2022, the group was down to four members following the health-related departures of Ella and Satbyeol.

After adding a member the following month, the group embarked on European and American tours.

In June 2024, many were left surprised after member Dajeong, now known as U_Chae, announced her departure from the group on Instagram.

With Yu Jeong’s departure from the group, PIXY’s line-up now consists of three members. And while they could certainly add new members, many believe the group is having a “silent disbandment,” as it has been nearly a year since their last comeback.

Though sad over the group’s current status, many have offered words of support for the members’ future ventures.
