K-Pop Group Exposes The Heartbreaking Reason For Deciding To Reappear On Another Survival Program
On September 19, Mnet’s Road to Kingdom: ACE OF ACE press conference was held in Gangnam. The contestants, MC, and production staff gathered together for the event.
The show is a survival program that sheds light on boy groups with talent and potential as part of the K-Pop boy group rising project.
In particular, idol group ONEUS, which debuted in January 2019, will appear on the survival show for the second time.
We have decided to participate in the show once again after last season. Many people are supporting us, and I think we will be off to a good start.

They also confessed their constant thirst for the stage.
While promoting as ONEUS, we always had a thirst for the stage. We thought the show would be a good opportunity to showcase our skills. Our biggest selling point is our confidence in live vocals, performance, and visuals.

They also expressed their reason for appearing a second time.
“We believe our team is bound to do well. We came on the show to grab the opportunity more definitely. We recently went to an amusement park to film content, and people asked if we were TWS or TXT, and it hurt me a little. These groups are such great and famous people, but I wanted to be loved by the public as ONEUS, so we hope to shine more by participating in the show.
It’s a lie to say that we didn’t feel burdened appearing on the show again. We gave many performances that we were proud of in season one. It was a fight with ourselves. We indeed felt pressure to show performances that surpassed performances from the show. But since our passion for the stage continues to grow, we overcame it with passion rather than burden.”

They also hoped that this opportunity would benefit not only them, but all seven teams.
We focused on the basics as a singer. It is the fate of an idol to perform and sing live at the same time, so we prepared for the stage by focusing on the basics. All the teams probably think the same, but I expect fair play. Rather than competition, I think all teams should work hard and do well together so we can all survive.

Korean netizens also showed support for the group!
- “ONEUS hwaiting!”
- “Hwaiting guys!”
- “ONEUS hwaiting!”
- “They must’ve felt sad.”
- “ONEUS hwaiting.”
- “They weren’t confused because their names were similar, but because people couldn’t tell who they were, right? People were confused because the news article only mentioned TWS with comments saying TWS copied their name without any explanation.”
Meanwhile, the show is set to premiere on September 19 at 9:30 PM KST.
