Actor Claimed He Pole Danced To Support His Ex, A Fellow Actor Who Says They Never Dated
Two actors became entangled in messy dating rumors following a previous scandal.
In 2023, Chinese actor Chen Mu Chi (also known as Luke Chen) found himself in hot water after he was rumored to be living with Chen Bing, a Chinese singer seven years his singer. The then 26-year-old actor was then revealed to have been married.
Chen Mu Chi admitted to having been married to a non-celebrity in March 2020 but revealed that he and his wife had amicably divorced.

Just days after Chen addressed his marriage and divorce, Chen addressed rumors that he had begun dating a fellow actor, Wu Chu Yi.
So-called couple photos of him and Wu had been leaked by a mutual friend. Chen stated that he and Wu were only roommates and had never been romantically involved. Wu disagreed.
During a Weibo live, Wu claimed that he and Chen were, in fact, romantically involved, and that Chen had been the one to shift their friendship to romance by initiating their first kiss and their first sexual encounter. Wu, who fathered his son at 18-years-old with his then-girlfriend, claimed that he only began to question his sexual orientation because of Chen.
Moreover, Wu claimed that he financially supported his son and Chen, who did not pay rent, by becoming a pole dancer. With his earnings from pole dancing and minor acting roles Wu said he covered the rent, and more. To prove it, Wu showed netizens the transaction history for his bank account.
Though Chen stated he would take legal action in response to the rumors, Wu declared that he had video evidence to support his claims that their relationship was not platonic.
