Song Hye Kyo Earns 4 Million USD Without Even Lifting A Finger
Actress Song Hye Kyo has reportedly added ₩6.00 billion KRW (about $4.50 million USD) to her net worth without even having to do any work for it.
According to a News1 report, the actress earned those millions of dollars through her real-estate investment in just three years. As per the real estate agency Building Road‘s data, Song Hye Kyo had purchased a five-story building with a land area of 149.35 pyeong and a building area of 74.61 pyeong at the entrance of the Hannam the Hill apartment complex, one of Seoul’s poshest real estate. Song purchased in 2021 for ₩19.5 billion KRW (about $14.6 million USD).
At the time of the purchase, the actress invested ₩11.5 billion KRW (about $8.63 million USD) in cash and the remaining through a bank loan. The property was bought in her own name.
When Song bought the property, the land price was ₩131 million KRW (about $98,000 USD) per pyeong, which has now increased to ₩165 million KRW (about $124,000 USD). As the building itself is an old one, built in 1989, the property’s value is almost entirely based on the land’s price. Hence, the current market value of Song’s building is estimated to be ₩25.5 billion KRW (about $19.2 million USD), a whopping ₩6.00 billion KRW (about $4.50 million USD) more than her purchasing price three years ago.
While Song Hye Kyo is already one of the highest-paid actresses in the Korean entertainment industry right now, her real estate earnings seem to have taken her wealth to the next level!
