YG Entertainment recently shocked the world by announcing that top girl group 2NE1 would be disbanding.
In fact, up until the official announcement released by the agency on November 25th, fans were expecting to hear new music from 2NE1 in the near future. Although the group’s maknae Minzy had left the group in April, fans were reassured that the group would return with new music when Park Bom made her return to Twitter.
Although she never explicitly addressed 2NE1’s comeback, Bom’s constant support for CL‘s solo activities and Dara‘s television broadcasts had given hope that the group would be returning soon.

In her newest tweet, which was posted just before news of 2NE1’s disbandment, Park Bom hinted that she would be releasing music soon.

CL also posted a similarly cryptic tweet several days ago, which caused fans to believe that 2NE1 would be coming back soon.

2NE1 is now officially disbanded and Park Bom is no longer under the management of YG Entertainment. With the members having shown support for each other’s solo activities in the past, fans are now wondering if Park Bom is preparing for a solo comeback instead.
