7 Top K-Pop Idols Who Didn’t Let Dating Scandals Affect Their Career

Dating scandals are no problem for these top idols.

Some scandals were big enough to delay comebacks or affect the celebrity in a negative way, but this is not always the case. Despite being huge news back when the scandal was first revealed, the following idols came out relatively unscathed. They were able to weather the storm with their strong fanbase and good reputation.

Check out who they are below!

1 & 2. IU and Super Junior’s Eunhyuk

IU and Super Junior‘s Eunhyuk broke the internet in November 2012 when the former accidentally uploaded a photo of the two together. Eunhyuk appeared to be shirtless in the photo and they looked like a seasoned couple.

While it was huge news at the time, they never confirmed nor denied their relationship. Both IU and Eunhyuk carried on as if nothing happened and made successful comeback after successful comeback.

IU is now known as one of the top solo artists and actresses in the industry, even being nominated for the famed Baeksang Arts Awards.

Eunhyuk carried on with Super Junior and even though he has left SM Entertainment, he and Donghae created their own agency, ODE, and still participate in Super Junior’s activities.

3 & 4. Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon and EXO’s Baekhyun

Girls’ Generation‘s Taeyeon and EXO‘s Baekhyun revealed they were dating in June 2014. They were the first confirmed couple that was signed under the same entertainment agency at the time. After a year and four months of dating, they called it quits due to their hectic schedules.

While some fans were initially upset, the idols remained on the top of the Korean entertainment industry. Taeyeon is now considered one of Korea’s most successful solo artists while Baekhyun broke records with his comeback “Candy” and despite leaving SM Entertainment, he has been able to establish his own agency, INB100, even bringing along fellow EXO members Xiumin and Chen.
