BLACKPINK Jennie‘s highly anticipated appearance at the 2024 Paris Fashion Week was accompanied by a shocking transformation no one — not even her biggest fans — saw coming. The BLACKPINK star has been teasing her new solo comeback lately.

On September 29, she departed Seoul to fly to Paris for the prestigious CHANEL show at the fashion event. Knowing how anticipated her looks at such events are, Jennie even teased fans with a sneak peek via her Instagram stories before appearing at the show.

Soon after, she was walking through a myriad of journalists and photographers, all rushing to capture her new hairstyle from the best angles possible. While she was donning her usual straight, loose hair, the BLACKPINK star shocked everyone with her new BLONDE look.

Though everybody loved her new look, as with everything else Jennie it also sparked an unexpected debate. Fans and netizens online found themselves arguing on whether the hair was actually Jennie’s dyed hair… or a wig.

Jennie’s usual avoidance of dyeing her hair made many people think it was a wig — however, the hair was so well placed and legit that many felt as though it had to be her own.

During their brief conversation, Margaret complimented Jennie on her hair, which Jennie finally revealed was a “great wig!”
