Netizens Point Out A Concerning Issue With New Trailers For “Squid Game” Season 2

Recently, another trailer for the season dropped, featuring actor Gong Yoo. The trailer shows the actor, who plays a salesman who recruits the game’s players, getting ready to do just that.

While excitement is building, some netizens have pointed out a problem in promoting the series so far.

The second season’s cast was shared online in March 2024, sparking great interest in some of the new faces appearing in the series. T.O.P and Im Siwan were just two new names that caught netizens’ eyes.

Jo Yuri was also included in the new cast members list. Jo Yuri is known by many for competing in Produce 48 and debuting as a member of IZ*ONE but has since ventured into acting along with her solo music career.

Netizens pointed out that Jo Yuri was (obviously) not included in this latest trailer, but also has yet to be seen in any of the content released thus far.

This includes earlier trailers…

…and a preview image that is too pixelated to see the actual features of anyone in it, leading to jokes from fans.

It was confirmed that the actress will be in the series, with Jo Yuri even answering a question while at KCON LA 2024 about the series.

Many are hoping that this does not mean her role will be small, or that she will be killed off quickly as a player. It is also worth noting that none of the new cast have been included in content thus far, either.
