On Monday, October 7, a Weibo account claiming to be owned by the swimmer’s fiancé shared a post that accused him of cheating. The post detailed that the cheating allegedly even took place while they were pregnant and that he threatened her with explicit videos.

“Sorry for posting this in public space. I just want to say the issues that piled up during this off-and-on 6-year relationship really can’t be resolved, and I don’t want to tolerate it anymore.I didn’t want to embarrass you, but your evasive attitude makes me truly think that I loved the wrong person. Cheating (even during pregnancy), sexting (fan, artistic swimmer, person on the lego), soliciting prostitutes, lying to my face after your wrongdoings, evading, being emotionally abusive – these issues can’t be resolved.

I’ve told you repeatedly that your goal is becoming an Olympic gold medalist and that you can’t take anything for granted. But you never listened. Your family never tried to dissuade you, but instead asked me to tolerate you and be understanding.Whenever you did something wrong, I was always the one who suggested to break up. Every time, you used your career, life, and everything to threaten me. You even filmed intimate videos of us to force me to forgive you. I can’t stand it anymore. All of your luxury goods were bought by me. The amount I spent on you is incalculable (from LV to Richard Mille).

It’s all my fault for trusting you again and again. From today, I will no longer help you hide any of your issues or clean up any messes. I have all the evidence – chat logs and audio files. If you think I’ve falsely accused you of anything, feel free to sue me. I’m waiting.Be a good person first, then do good deeds. Anyone who indulged you while you were screwing up and allowed you to hide is not a good human being. Running away will not resolve any issues. You owe me an apology.”

Hours after the explosive post was made, the studio representing Qin shared a statement negating the content of the post. The post did not state that the person was not his fiancé but that facts had been twisted and that the post contained malicious and false information.
