“Nugu” Boy Group Works With Avril Lavigne For Second Comeback, Sparking Wide Interest

The announcement went viral!

It has become increasingly common for K-Pop idols to collaborate with Western artists on songs and releases. BTS’s Jungkook has done so on multiple occasions, including with American performers Latto and Usher.

However, usually, it is groups that are more established or have the backing of a major label that can afford these sorts of features.

A boy group is changing this up with their second-ever comeback!

In October 2023, the boy group P.O.W officially debuted with “Amazing.”

The group’s debut caught many eyes due to its line-up, which included Thai actor Yorch, a former member of Trainee A, and Dongyeon, who competed in Loud.

Since then, the group has released a single album and a pre-release single ahead of their upcoming second mini-album.

On October 8, it was revealed that the album would be called Boyfriend and be released on October 21.

In addition to this, the tweet also stated that the title was a reimagining remake of Avril Lavigne‘s “Girlfriend.” Avril Lavigne is a Canadian singer-songwriter who contributed to pop-punk music during the 2000s.

Not only will the track be a remake, but Avril Lavigne and the original writers worked with the group for the release!
