Sailor outfits are one of the staples of K-Pop, especially for rookies. NCT Dream made frequent use of the concept during their rookie days.
TXT made the outfits look mystical to fit their magic boy concept.
ENHYPEN wore them for the briefest period of time during their debut days.
Most recently, NCT Wish has been wearing modified versions of it for the summer. The updated sleeveless versions look more trendy.
They can also be used to fit a uniform theme.
Some boy groups turned it from cute to hot instead.
How do netizens feel about the look? While most like it, some went as far as to call it the male version of Lolita fashion, condemning those who enjoy the look. On the other hand, many feel that it can look refreshing and cute if not taken overboard.
