Popular Idol Lives With His Mother Due To Being Scammed Out Of Hundreds Of Millions
Many warnings against scams are issued, but they are usually directed at individuals who are more likely to fall for them, like the elderly or those in desperate situations.
Unfortunately, INFINITE‘s Dongwoo has been the victim of scams multiple times in his life. The idol previously shared that he had been scammed over ten times a year, but until recently, this was never given any financial value.
Dongwoo lives at home with his mother and recently appeared on the program I’m Grown Up, but I’m Not Going Out, a show focused on adults who refuse to leave home.
During one part of the episode, the idol’s mother mentioned that he was often scammed. He the revealed had been scammed out of ₩700 million KRW (about $521,000 USD) over a decade, and because of this, he lived at home.
Netizens were surprised by the amount and offered hope that Dongwoo would not be scammed again.
