Deleted Korean Media Reports Allege That RIIZE Disagreed With Seunghan’s Return
n October 11, 2024, it was announced that RIIZE‘s Seunghan would be rejoining group activities. This comes after a hiatus of slightly under a year. He was announced to be taking a break from promotions in November 2023.
The news was a huge surprise for many who did not expect him to be reinstated after so long. Amidst the mixed reactions that the news brought about, an article released by MNH Sports Korea raised eyebrows on October 12. The article was titled “All the members had disagreed…Were they had with RIIZE Seunghan’s return?”
The article stated that SM Entertainment had stated that the RIIZE members had not been approving of Seunghan’s return, claiming that they would be withdrawing him from the group instead. Not 6 hours later, SM Entertainment suddenly released an official announcement that Seunghan would be returning.
On October 11, an article containing a statement from SM Entertainment that all the RIIZE members had been opposed to Seunghan’s return, resulting in his return not proceeding, and that he would withdraw from the group instead. But 6 hours later, SM Entertainment’s Wizard Production, which is in charge of RIIZE’s production, posted an official statement that he would be returning in November.

Fans who had been on top of the news had initially also been confused by the rollercoaster. As the initial articles have been removed, it is unclear if there was miscommunication or if SM Entertainment made last minute changes to their plans.
