RIIZE Loses Hundreds Of Thousands Of Followers In Just 3 Days After Seunghan’s Departure

The boycott has continued showing results.

It was recently announced that Seunghan would depart from RIIZE. This news came as a shock to many, as it was announced that the idol would return to schedules just two days earlier

As a result, many fans have felt disappointed and angry over the circumstances surrounding his withdrawal.

Since then, fans have mobilized protest efforts by sending protest trucks to SM Entertainment and planning an in-person protest.

Fans have also begun boycotting all RIIZE content, including not purchasing any albums or merchandise the group releases. Many fans have already canceled their pre-orders of RIIZE’s recently released MD.

Many K-Pop retailers around the world have also joined the boycott.

The boycott also calls on fans to unfollow all of RIIZE’s social media accounts, hoping that many followers no longer being there would make an impact.

Since the boycott began, the group’s account on X has gone from 810,978 to 731,912 as of writing, a negative change of 79,066.

RIIZE’s TikTok had upwards of 3,543,847 followers and has now dropped to 3,425,654 and counting, a loss of 118,193 followers. The group’s Instagram account has dropped by 213,803 with current live following count at 3,931,271 as of writing.

The group’s three Japanese accounts on the same platforms have also lost a combined 25,910. RIIZE’s Spotify and YouTube channels have also been impacted, resulting in a loss of 19,317 and 25,048 followers respectively.

This brings the total amount lost on these platforms to 481,337, just shy of half a million.

These results in this time frame show exactly how serious fans are about the boycott, all in the hopes of Seunghan’s return.
