Park Jihoon Confesses He Doesn’t Stay In Contact With Wanna One

Wanna One disbanded in 2019.

Park Jihoon was once part of Wanna One, one of the most iconic boy groups in K-Pop history. The group disbanded in 2019, and the members went their separate ways. Park Jihoon turned to acting, and now, in 2024, he is anticipating the launch of his movie Audrey.

In a recent interview for the movie, he confessed that he doesn’t keep in contact with the members of Wanna One. When asked about the possibility of a reunion, he shared that while he keeps the group in his heart, he doesn’t feel the need to talk with the members on a daily basis.

I recently searched things up, and there was a slight surge [in popularity] for the group for a short while. I am willing whenever to [promote as] Wanna One again. I really want to do it. If the members say they want to do it again, I want to run to them whenever and say I will join them. But actually, I don’t keep in contact with them. Rather than not doing so because we are not close, I am always cheering them on in my heart, and am happy to see them whenever. We are all busy. Although there are members who are closer to each other, I don’t keep in contact with anyone separately.

— Park Ji Hoon

Audrey is about Ki Hoon (played by Park Ji Hoon) who has a close relationship with his mother. They run a noodle restaurant together. When something happens to his mother, he is forced to seek out his estranged sister, Ji Eun. Audrey will launch in South Korea on October 24, 2024.
