Jin is featured in a pictorial and also did an interview. Since Vogue Japan is celebrating 25 years, the interviewer asked Jin what his most significant memory was from when he was 25 and what advice he’d give his younger self.

Around the time you turned 25 (in 2016-2017), was also when BTS gained worldwide recognition. What’s your biggest memory from that time? And what advice would you give to yourself back then?

Jin revealed that he often complained at that age because of his busy schedule. He wishes he could advise his younger self that complaining doesn’t make things better, but he recognizes that he wouldn’t have listened to himself.

When I was 25, I was so busy with work that I’d sometimes complain about it. I wish I could tell my younger self that thinking like that doesn’t help, but honestly, I don’t think it would have made a difference.

Jin recognizes that we naturally mature as we age. So, he expects that he’ll want to lecture himself in years from now.

As I’ve gotten older, my mindset has naturally changed. I’m sure that 10 years from now, I’ll probably want to give my current self a talking-to as well (laughs).
