12-Year-Old Princess Rejects Agency’s Offer To Become K-Pop’s First Royal Idol
Will a princess be debuting as a K-Pop idol? According to the latest update, the answer is an emphatic no — but not because an agency hasn’t offered to sign her.
Jenna Norodom is the second daughter of Princess Norodom Bupphary and the granddaughter of the King of Cambodia, Norodom Sihamoni. She made headlines after becoming a social media sensation last year at just 11 years old.
Jenna began working in the entertainment industry as an actor and singer at age six. She’s an avid fan of K-Pop groups like BTS and BLACKPINK, and has posted dance covers of K-Pop songs on her YouTube channel.
Last year, in a featured segment on YTN, it was reported that the CEO of a K-Pop entertainment agency had shown interest in helping the young royal to become a star in Korea. However, according to the latest news reports, the now 12-year-old princess will not be moving to Korea after all.

After a report by Taiwan’s SET News on October 14, Jenna once again made headlines for her alleged K-Pop dreams. The following day, Jenna’s management team stated in a now-deleted post that Jenna does not and will not ever be becoming a K-Pop idol.
Jenna has not, does not, and will not become a K-pop trainee in South Korea.

The post also reportedly stated that Jenna turned down the invitation extended to her by a K-Entertainment agency in 2023. Instead of becoming a trainee, Jenna says she will be focusing on her studies along with releasing her first Mandarin album.
