Popular Actress Earns 40 Billion KRW Without Having To Work For It At All

Actress Kim Hee Ae, best known for K-Dramas like The World of the Married and Queenmaker, has increased her net worth by a whopping ₩40.0 billion KRW (about $28.8 million USD) without ever having to sweat for it.

According to Building Road Real Estate, the actress had purchased three parking lots in an affluent area of Gangnam, Seoul, in 2006. When she bought the land in 2006, it cost her around ₩11.9 billion KRW (about $8.57 million USD). The property is located very close to the Cheongdam-dong Luxury Street, with stores of global brands like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and Armani nearby.

Though Kim purchased the land for a parking lot, she started constructing a new building in 2020. The completed building now has four basement floors and five floors above the ground, housing a dermatology clinic and high-end flagship stores. The third and fourth basement floors are used for parking and management offices.

The reported market price of this new building is estimated to be ₩50.0 billion KRW (about $36.0 million USD), earning her nearly ₩39.0 billion KRW (about $28.1 million USD) profit over 18 years. Since the property is located very close to the luxury streets, its value is predicted to increase even further, which in turn would ensure higher rental incomes for the actress.
