Malaysian Ministry Of Health Clarifies False Korean Report On BLACKPINK Rosé’s “APT.”
On October 28, a report from Korean media outlet Kyunghyang gained traction online as it alleged that the Malaysian Ministry of Health had publicly criticized BLACKPINK‘s Rosé and her new single “APT.” featuring Bruno Mars.
The Malaysian Ministry has since clarified that the scathing statement did not come from them but rather from another public health page unrelated to the government.
In Kyunghyang’s report, they claimed the Ministry had accused “APT.” of “normalizing values that conflict with Eastern cultural values.” The statement then goes on to warn parents, teachers, and other members of society to be mindful of accepting such cultural differences.

As the news made the rounds online, the Malaysian Ministry of Health clarified via their X (formerly known as Twitter) account that the statement had, in fact, not come from them, despite what the Korean outlet claimed.
The Ministry of Health (MOH) Malaysia wishes to clarify that any statements regarding this article attributed to MOH have not been issued or authorized by the Government of Malaysia.

The statement came from another public health page with over one million followers that is not associated with the Malaysian government. Fans have since thanked the Ministry for clarifying the statement did not come from the government.
