“Absurdly Bad” — NCT Haechan’s Recent Photos Go Viral For The Wrong Reasons
NCT Haechan‘s recent teaser photos have caught attention for all the wrong reasons.
For fans of Haechan (or those who aren’t), one thing that has always stood out about him besides his talent is his visuals. The idol has grown increasingly handsome as the years have passed and has always managed to attract attention.
One aspect of his visuals that fans love is his skin tone. Haechan has a more tanned skin tone, sometimes described as “honey,” which, when appropriately accentuated, only makes him stand out even more.
Recently, however, photos of the idol have been released and gone viral for editing of his skin.
Earlier this month, NCT DREAM announced they would return with a new album titled Dreamscape and have begun release teasers for it.

Haechan’s first set of teasers show the idol in a construction like setting, and while they are edited, do not show his skin tone altered.
On October 30, the next set of teaser photos were released and show the members out in the street. Haechan’s photos, while cute, almost seem to be of a different person, showing the idol with a much lighter skin tone.
The tweet featuring these images went viral, with over 1.4 million views as of writing. Many in the quotes, while appreciative of Haechan’s good looks, questioned why he was being “whitewashed” in the photos, even correcting the tone to match his actual skin tone.
