5th Generation Group Gets Flamed For Their Baffling Live Encore Performance
The popular 5th-generation girl group TripleS has come under fire following a recent music show win and their subsequent encore performance.
While TripleS has a solid international fanbase, they are still gaining recognition among Korean audiences, making their music show wins relatively rare. Especially, as securing such victories has become increasingly challenging for groups outside the Big 4 agencies.
love to see tripleS getting their first win as a subunit.. they've come so farpic.twitter.com/LK4izxcEFt

However, the massive girl group — comprised of 24 members — recently achieved a notable win through its latest unit, Visionary Vision. The 12-member sub-group recently released the single “Hit The Floor” and managed to snatch a win at “The Show” for its impressive sales and fan support. Unfortunately, rather than impressing with their vocals, their encore performance left Korean listeners thoroughly disappointed.
Following the end of their performance, The Show uploaded the video to YouTube. Since then, it quickly went viral on Korean forums, where it managed to rack up over 41,000 views—though not for the right reasons.
Korean netizens were baffled at the disappointing vocals, as more than 600 comments blasted the girl group and their management agency.
- “This is the worst one yet…”
- “Are all 24 of them like this..? I don’t really know this song, but there were a few other songs I thought were good. What happened to the vocals here?”
- “Oh… this is uncomfortable to listen to. Had to stop.”
- “They’re so off that I can’t even tell what the melody is. Isn’t this their own song? I’ve never seen a group perform this poorly together before.”
- “They’re not singers.”
- “And it seems like they’re trying to avoid singing by doing other things on stage.”
- “Even if it’s a dance unit, they should’ve at least added a main vocalist.”
- “Moment of silence…”
