BTS’s Facial Features Reveal 7 Unexpected Personality Traits

Can a book be judged by its cover after all?

Australian “people reader” Alan Stevens believes that a person’s face can say a lot about their true personality. Here’s what seven facial features reveal about BTS‘s RMJin, Suga, J-HopeJiminV, and Jungkook according to Stevens’ criteria.

1. Confidence

People with wider faces (70%+ as wide) tend to be less cautious and more confident than those with narrower faces (less than 60% as wide as they are long).

RM

RM, Jin, J-Hope, and Jimin’s faces fall into the narrow category, meaning that they don’t dive into decisions or situations without considering the consequences. V and Jungkook’s facial proportions land them in the “confident” category, while Suga’s proportions indicate that he’s somewhere in the middle: someone who balances caution with confidence.

2. Friendliness

How is friendliness measured? By measuring the distance between the top of the eye to the eyebrow compared to the height of the eye. People with higher set brows tend to need more personal space than their lower-browed counterparts.

Jin

RM and J-Hope have lower-set brows, which means they don’t need as much personal space or alone time to recharge their social batteries. People with higher brows like Suga, V, and Jungkook tend to need more personal space and alone time. Meanwhile, Jin falls somewhere in between, along with Jimin. This indicates that they to be around others but also cherish their personal space.

3. Tolerance

How tolerant are you? It’s all in the eyes. People with wider-set eyes are thought to be more tolerant of errors than those with close-set eyes.

Jin’s closer-set eyes suggest that he might have less patience for errors than his counterparts do. On the other hand, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook have wider-set eyes, which indicate that they’re more tolerant of other people’s mistakes. RM’s eyes fall somewhere in the middle. This could suggest that RM has learned to be more tolerant of errors over time.

4. Sense of Humor

People with longer philtrums are more likely to be humorous, while people with shorter philtrums are serious by nature.

J-Hope

Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, and V’s longer philtrums suggest that they’re more likely than their counterparts to be comedians. According to Stevens, some people with longer philtrums also tend to have a sarcastic, dry sense of humor. The length of Jungkook’s philtrum falls somewhere in the middle, indicating a blend of seriousness and silliness. While RM’s short philtrum indicates that he’s more serious than comedic, that doesn’t mean he has no sense of humor. ARMY can confirm!

5. Generosity

Stevens says that individuals with full upper lips are more generous with their words and actions than people with thinner upper lips. If you have a thinner upper lip, you might be a quiet and concise person.

Jimin | Chilsung Cider/Facebook

Jin, J-Hope, V, Jimin, and RM have full upper lips, which indicates that they’re generous with thier words and actions. People with thinner upper lips, like Suga and Jungkook, are usually quieter and more concise. This doesn’t mean they aren’t generous; they just might be as obvious about it, preferring to subtly help the people around them.

6. Worldview

According to this criteria, “decisive” and “action-driven” people have thin eyelid folds or no eyelid folds, while people with thicker eyelid folds are “analytical” by nature.

V | HYBE

Since Jin, Jimin, V, RM, and Jungkook fall under the thinner eyelid folds or no eyelid folds category, they are more “decisive” and “action-driven.” Suga is more on the “analytical” side while J-Hope falls somewhere in the middle.

7. Magnetism

If people with “deeper-coloured eyes” are supposedly charismatic, magnetic individuals, BTS is all the proof we need! Every member of BTS has naturally dark eyes that draw in anyone who meets their gaze.
