Fansites are an important part of the K-Pop fandom culture as they provide fellow fans with unofficial but high-quality photographic content of artists. But in recent years, there have been fierce debates about such fans often crossing boundaries to obtain exclusive content. A LE SSERAFIM fansite has reignited these concerns with their recent pictures of Eunchae, the youngest member of the group.

On November 11, KST, the Korean fansite posted previews of some exclusive pictures of Eunchae in London, where the group recently attended the MTV European Music Awards (EMAs). The photos, taken in London, showed the idol in a laid-back outfit, grocery shopping at a popular chain store. She seemed completely unaware that she was being clicked.

The account also posted a sneakily taken video of Eunchae checking out her purchased items as the passers-by clearly appear uncomfortable.

The LE SSERAFIM member was not out for a public schedule, and neither was it a closed-door professional event. The fact that the fansite tracked her down in London while she simply did her grocery shopping has sparked serious concern about it being a possible case of stalking. Given that Eunchae is barely 18 years old, the incident has worried fans even more.

This incident has added to the rising concerns about idols’ safety as certain fans increasingly infringe on their privacy.
