Stray Kids’ Clever Wordplay Lets Them Bend The Rules And Curse In New Song

Stray Kids are geniuses!

Stray Kids recently made their comeback with their second Japanese-language studio album and fifth overall album, GIANT.

The title track has garnered attention on social media for many reasons, from its killer and godly concept to its clever lyrics.

STAYs were especially impressed with the wordplay in “GIANT,” as it allowed the Stray Kids members to use the profanity “f*cking” without actually cursing in their song, as JYP Entertainment is a bit strict. Stray Kids sang, “DO RE MI FA KING GIANTS,” making it sound like “f*cking giants.”

Netizens also believe that Stray Kids might have been inspired by labelmate Xdinary Heroes, as Bang Chan was previously shocked by the band’s hidden curse. In the song “Freakin’ Bad,” the lyrics “If you seek it, why owe you?” sounds like someone spelling out, “F*CK YOU.”
