Producer Breaks Silence On Beomhan Amid Controversy
Content Warning
Former FM Entertainment trainee Beomhan has been receiving an increase of criticism lately after a series of profanity-laced rants.
Initially, Beomhan earned backlash for his comments following the U.S. presidential election results. While he intended to cope with a bad situation with humor, viewers did not receive it well, as many felt the jokes were insensitive, ill-timed, and not his place as a man.
Everyone who is a woman, this week, rest in peace, and I’d like to say, ‘Rest in peace’ to all women, and we have failed you this week and as a country. And, Donald Trump, congratulations on being the president. However, I would like to say that Beyoncé had the best music video of all time, and thank you, Beyoncé. …And if you’re a woman, just know that we stand with you, and I am so sorry and rest in peace and good luck. I’m so sorry. And please take a mental health day and go shopping or something.

Beomhan soon apologized after taking heat for the now-viral clip. Yet, as netizens continued criticizing him and resurfacing past controversies and false allegations, the former K-Pop trainee got defensive and lashed out on social media with both X (formerly Twitter) rants and Instagram live broadcasts.
Clips from his two Instagram live broadcasts have gone viral, as Beomhan cursed out those who continued to leave him hate comments.

Some loyal fans have defended Beomhan, but his behavior turned many off. Beomhan also apologized again.
In his most recent statement, Beomhan claimed he would be “back soon” and seek professional help.
Since the controversies, Beomhan’s event was canceled. Previously, Beomhan was scheduled for his first-ever event in Tennessee on November 16th and 17th, as he would take over PLOGHVEY K-POP in Knoxville.

Just a couple of days before the event, PLOGHVEY Group announced that it had been canceled. Ticket-holders are being refunded.

Many netizens commended PLOGHVEY Group for their decision. Beomhan’s controversy is still a hot topic on social media.
Now, someone who has worked with Beomhan has spoken up in his defense.
When Beomhan infamously “debuted” with “Me Myself & I,” it was met with much backlash, as many felt it sounded poorly produced.
Me myself and I – Beomhan
He wrong as hell for releasing this bullshit on his birthday, terrible song, boring video, the voice is flat…this just sucks. Whoever approved this, needs to be stoned pic.twitter.com/fOpX8FDW6t— Deyoncé ༊࿐ ͎. 。˚ ° ⊹ ˚. (@j3llydelly) June 20, 2024
So, Beomhan held a remake contest for producers to “fix it.” Beomhan has continued to receive flack for this and for never announcing a winner, presumably taking advantage of fans’ free labor.
okay so beomhan
– said idols shouldn’t date and those who do are “betraying the fans”
– hit a fans car and signed it???
– stole a fans remix of his song and never compensated them
– made jokes about american women and crashed out
– called his fans bitches and the r slur on live pic.twitter.com/dumGJdz7yI— ˚ʚ♡ɞ˚ (@kyoongfairy) November 12, 2024
TikTok user and producer Ming (@prodbyming) previously went viral for his version of “Me Myself & I.” While Ming was never officially announced as the winner, he did get connected with Beomhan, who liked his remix. As Beomhan toured, he performed Ming’s version. Additionally, Ming was hired to produce the walk-on and outro tracks for Beomhan’s live performances.
@prodbyming just saying that it’s not too late to release this version, beomhan 😩 If you’re new here: hello! I’m ming (previously known as kennen) and i’m a music producer from toronto. Thanks for listening to my remake of me myself and i by beomhan! I’m actually planning on releasing solo music as a producer soon, so stick around if you wanna hear more!!🫡 #kpop #beomhan #beomhandebutremade #musicproducer
@prodbyming Hopefully now it sounds like the club banger that i think beomhan was trying to make 😩 Honestly this procress was mostly just me taking away elements (like an overload of synths and pads) that made the whole mix muddy! I also posted two other videos going into futher details about arrangement & vocal editing :) #beomhandebutremade #beomhan #kpop #musicproduction
Ming previously revealed that while he didn’t officially win, he was compensated for his other work, and he expects to be paid when Beomhan releases his upcoming EP.
Ming explained that he didn’t hold anything against Beomhan because the singer struggled again with his management during this period.
Ming continued to defend Beomhan, reminding netizens that he’s not only human but a “scatterbrained 20-something-year-old.” He called out haters’ obsession with constantly criticizing Beomhan.
Ming believes Beomhan has potential as an artist. He knows firsthand that the music he has been working on is significantly better. He feels that the people Beomhan has been surrounded by have misguided him.
The video went viral with 267.6K views at the time of writing.
@prodbyming Replying to @prodbyming this is regarding his “crash out”. LEAVE BEOMHAN ALONE!! #kpop #beomhan #kpopfypシ
Reactions were divided. Many agreed with Ming, but others believed that a man didn’t have the right to defend another man who offended women.
