Kim Junsu Emphasizes He Is The Victim Of The Female Streamer’s Threats
Recently, it was reported that former TVXQ member Kim Junsu was blackmailed by an AfreecaTV female streamer who extorted a large amount of money from him.
With this, his agency, Palm Tree Island, released an official statement regarding its position.
“Hello, this is Palm Tree Island. First, we would like to explain our position regarding our artist, Kim Junsu.
As it was recently reported, streamer A threatened to post audio files recorded of Kim Junsu for illegal purposes. The streamer also stated, ‘Although Kim Junsu did nothing wrong, a celebrity’s image can be damaged by just one false article. Kim Junsu can’t appear on TV, so he won’t be able to recover his image. However, he has nothing to lose.’
Streamer A continued to threaten Kim Junsu because of his celebrity status and took advantage of the public’s attention. Although they knew Kim Junsu had done nothing wrong, they continued to abuse his position as a celebrity and did not stop.
We want to inform you that Kim Junsu is the victim. Kim Junsu has also revealed that there are many other victims of streamer A’s threats and extortion, and that is why he has decided to take legal action.
