ILLIT Suffers From More Criticism After Belift Lab’s Recent Interview About The NewJeans Debacle
The CEO of Belift Lab took an interview with OSEN recently. The interview, which was published on November 15, 2024, covered ILLIT‘s response to the NewJeans situation. Their response to Hanni‘s past accusations about a manager telling a group to ignore her was also shared by the CEO.
The members were especially shocked by the “ignore them” controversy. The members themselves know the truth. They asked, “why is [Hanni] going that far,” “Did the CEO do anything wrong,” “Did we do anything wrong?” They seemed to be afraid to take the stage. I think they have grown stronger now. I anticipate that they will be great artists as long as they overcome this adversity. They have grown more mature. I’m sorry because they don’t feel like rookies to me. I’m saying this once more, but no one has ever told them to ignore her.

The CEO’s statement on ILLIT’s alleged response seems to have had an averse effect on the group instead. The statement invited more criticism from the public, who believe that Hanni tried to protect the group by refraining from mentioning their name. Hanni had also claimed that the members greeted her, while the manager had been the one to make the incriminatory statement. On the other hand, HYBE had been the first to reveal the manager as one belonging to ILLIT.
