Belift Lab CEO Claims NewJeans Received Preferential Treatment Compared To Other Artists

He claims they were not discriminated against.

Belift Lab‘s CEO Kim Tae Ho gave a recent interview with OSEN. During the interview, the CEO covered many topics such as allegations of plagiarism, ILLIT‘s response to the entire debacle, and more.

He was asked if ILLIT received preferential treatment compared to NewJeans. HYBE founder Bang Si Hyuk personally contributed to ILLIT’s production, but he was not involved in NewJeans at all. Kim Tae Ho claimed that it was actually NewJeans who seemed to have received preferential treatment.

All the staff know that it was actually NewJeans and ADOR who received aggressive support in terms of promotions and brand collaborations. It’s hard for me to even name all the support they received as such.

One of the small examples I can give you is that in our office building in Yongsan, artists have to make bookings to use a shared styling room when they need it. But from their second year on, NewJeans had their own exclusive styling room. Whether they were discriminated against or if they received preferential treatment, all the HYBE staff knows about it well.
