4th Gen Group’s Low, Single Digit Album Sales Leaves Fans Shocked

It was their lowest first-day sales yet.

One of the most significant parts of the K-Pop experience these days is the release of physical albums. Fans love collecting multiple versions of their favorite releases, and the total number of albums sold is one measure of the group’s success.

Due to K-Pop’s widespread popularity, multiple groups have been able to break the million-seller mark on individual albums, with many going above and beyond.

Stray Kids’ ATE was the most sold album in the United States for 2024.

Recently, fans were left shocked by the low number of first-day sales achieved by a girl group.

Originally debuting as a duo, AO Entertainment‘s PRIMROSE has gone through multiple line-up changes to achieve its current four members. The first comeback to feature this line-up happened in August 2023 with Laffy Taffy.

On November 14, 2024, the group returned with their third mini-album, Heart Revival, featuring the title track of the same name. In the day since its release, it has racked up over half a million views, a significant amount for a rookie group under a smaller company.

However, the group’s first day of sales were surprising to many. According to the Hanteo Chart, PRIMROSE sold 7 albums in total on the first day of sales.

Fans reacted to this number with great surprise, not understanding how the group’s sales were so low.

While these this total might have been surprising, things have already began looking better for the group’s first week sales. According to Hanteo, the second day of sales hit 110, beating their previous highest second day sales.
