FANATICS debuted in August 2019 with The Six, following the pre-debut activities of a subunit called FLAVOR. Several group members participated in survival shows before and after debut.

The two following years saw the group’s line-up change, and what would be their final release, a single album titled “Starry Night.” Though the group’s activities slowed, it was shared that they planned a comeback during an interview with members Chiayi and Doi in November 2022.

Former member Via confirmed that the group had disbanded after being asked by a fan on an Instagram post. Additionally, Via answered that the group’s planned comeback had been canceled, likely leading to the disbandment.

It was assumed that the group had silently disbanded in 2023, but this is the first official confirmation since the news of the now-cancelled comeback.

Some of the group members have continued on with their careers, making solo debuts or joining another group in former member Sika’s case.
