KATSEYE Member’s Absence At “2024 MAMA Awards” Alarms Fans
The 2024 MAMA Awards (Mnet Asian Music Awards) is kicking off tonight, November 21, at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California, and it will continue on November 22 and 23 at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka, Japan. This year’s award show marks the first time it’s been hosted in the U.S. It’s also the first time being held outside East and Southeast Asia, proving how global K-Pop has become.
This is also seen in global groups, such as HYBE and Geffen Records‘ KATSEYE, who are making their MAMA debut. Their fans were so excited for the members leading up to the event. The group is scheduled to do a collab stage with the LA Rams Cheerleaders.

Yet, when KATSEYE arrived on the red carpet, fans couldn’t help but notice one member was missing.
Manon was absent, much to fans’ disappointment. They wondered what happened to her.

On the day of the event, Weverse updated with a brief statement explaining that Manon would be absent. She is recovering from an illness.
