Netizens Shocked As Three Girl Groups Terminate Exclusive Contracts In 24 Hours
Netizens are shocked after three girl groups announced the termination of contracts with their companies within 24 hours.
The first group was NewJeans.
NewJeans held an emergency press conference on November 28, and it was revealed that the members were terminating their exclusive contract with ADOR.
On November 29, 2024, it was announced that Loossemble‘s contract with CNTDEM Entertainment had come to an end. After a short stint of only a year, the girls will be leaving the company.
It was then announced that fromis_9 had chosen not to renew their contract with Pledis Entertainment.
When the news from fromis_9 came out, netizens were unsurprisingly shocked that in the space of 24 hours, three girl groups had terminated their contracts with their companies.
It was initially a consensus that NewJeans terminated on the same day LOONA had in 2022 (after a lengthy battle with their company), but netizens found it crazy that three happened in such a short time around the same date. In particular, netizens pointed out that HYBE had lost almost half of their girl groups.
