Pledis Entertainment announced the end of their exclusive contracts with fromis_9 on November 29, 2024. A notification on Weverse stated to fans that they would not be renewing with the company.
Hello. This is Pledis Entertainment. Firstly, we wish to thank the fans who have loved fromis_9 without fail, at any time. The contract with fromis_9 (Lee Saerom, Song Hayoung, Roh Jisun, Lee Seoyeon, Lee Chaeyoung, Lee Nagyung, and Baek Jiheon) will end on the coming December 31. We have deeply discussed the individual future plans and activities for a long time with the members, and after sufficient conversation, we have mutually decided to end the exclusive contracts.
Ever since fromis_9 moved to our company from August 2021, they have shown a variety of music such as “Talk & Talk,” “DM,” “Stay This Way,” “#menow,” and “Supersonic,” etc, growing as artists while receiving love from not just Flovers, but many who love K-Pop as well. We send our deep gratitude to the members who have shown various charms through their wide spectrum.
To thank Flovers, we will be releasing a fansong digitally on December 31, and they will continue their planned activities up to then before putting an end to their activities as official artists of Pledis Entertainment. We sincerely support the members future days.
