On November 28, NewJeans held an emergency press conference to discuss their early contract termination. As of November 29, the group is no longer under their former HYBE label, ADOR.
Certain moments from the press conference have captured netizens’ attention, such as Minji‘s response to being asked to send a message to HYBE founder Bang Si Hyuk, and Danielle‘s proclamation that “NewJeans never dies.”

Following the press conference, “Hyein’s reaction when she heard “Bang Si Hyuk” trended at #27 on Weibo’s Hot Search List.
In this clip, Hyein appears to smile and laugh derisively at the mention of Bang Si Hyuk, while turning away.
Since the feud began between HYBE and former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin, NewJeans’ members have been vocal about their loyalty to Min Hee Jin. Hyein even wore a gift from her former CEO to the press conference. Read about it here:
